This is a Red Squirrel... its becoming increasingly rare in the wild. This is a photo of one taken in captivity. I have seen one in the wild... but sadly it was for only a split second, before it dissapeared under the wheel of my car! i wasn't intending on killing it before you ask! It was a pure accident... i was completely gutted about the whole think...

It's really sad that some of the most amazing creatures out there will probabally never be found or will soon be forgotten due to being endangered or extinction.

Man, I used to read a book daily about these little guys back when I was little.

OMG! D: !!! I saw a dead squirrel in the road on my way home from school they other day.. He was laying on his back... And the first thing that came to mind was... A bunch of little baby squirrels, and a mommy squirrel in their hole.. And one of the babies goes "Mommy.. Why hasn't daddy come home with the food yet? I'm hungry." AHHHHHH. ;_;

I know... there are lots of things going on in Scotland and other areas of the UK trying to make sure that these little fellas survive... :-)
